Accident – Death – Obituary News : In a shocking incident that unfolded in Chennai on Monday night, Madhuri, the daughter of YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP Beeda Masthan Rao, was behind the wheel of a BMW when tragedy struck. The young woman allegedly drove her luxury car over a sleeping painter on the pavement, who was later identified as Surya.
The unfortunate victim, a 24-year-old daily waged painter, succumbed to his injuries as a result of the hit-and-run incident. Madhuri was accompanied by a female friend at the time of the accident. While the friend engaged in a heated argument with onlookers after the collision, Madhuri reportedly fled the scene. Despite efforts to rush Surya to the hospital, he tragically passed away.
Following the incident, the Chennai police swiftly took action, arresting Madhuri and subsequently releasing her on station bail. The car involved in the incident was identified as belonging to the BMR (Beeda Masthan Rao) group, owned by Madhuri’s father. The authorities reviewed CCTV footage to piece together the events leading up to the tragic incident.

The police have initiated legal proceedings, registering a case under section 304 A of the IPC (causing death by negligence). The incident in Chennai comes less than a month after another tragic hit-and-run incident in Pune, where a teenage driver collided with a motorbike, resulting in the deaths of two young professionals. The teenager involved in the Pune incident is currently held at an observation home, awaiting further legal proceedings.
