CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A 17-year-old has been criminally charged in connection to a homicide that occurred a week and a half ago in Chesapeake.
On June 8, at approximately 6:45 p.m., authorities responded to a call on Sir Lancelot Drive where they discovered a man who had been shot. The victim was rushed to the hospital but sadly succumbed to his injuries.
Victim identified as Khyree Mailk Slan
The victim has been identified as 21-year-old Khyree Mailk Slan from Chesapeake, as confirmed by the Chesapeake Police Department.
The 17-year-old male involved in the shooting will face charges for Second Degree Murder, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, and Underage Possession of a Handgun, according to the CPD.
