Arrests Made Amid Victory Celebration

Boston Police were kept busy during the celebrations, making a total of eight arrests. One of the arrests involved 24-year-old Joseph Cirone, who allegedly assaulted a police officer after being told that an area outside the Garden was off-limits.

The police report details how Cirone struck Officer Fornash with a forearm shiver to his chest before attempting to flee. He was apprehended by a group of officers and charged with disorderly conduct and assault and battery on a police officer.

Incidents Leading to Arrests

During halftime of Game 5, police had set up steel barricades at the intersection of Canal Street and Valenti Way to manage the crowd. After the game, 27-year-old Connor Burke was arrested for kicking one of the barricades, leading to a charge of disorderly conduct.

Additionally, two juveniles were arrested following a fight near Causeway and Beverly streets. The escalating behaviour of the crowd prompted officers to intervene, resulting in the juveniles being charged with affray and disturbing the peace.

More Arrests and Charges

Other incidents included the arrest of a suspect wearing a Spiderman costume, identified as 32-year-old Juan Lara, for disorderly conduct. Lara’s actions incited the crowd and led to his arrest for trespassing.

Three individuals near Causeway Street and Lomasney Way were also arrested. Hayden Freedland, 21, was charged with disorderly conduct and malicious destruction of property/vandalism after damaging an electric display panel. Tyquan Culbreath, 30, faced charges of assault and battery on a public employee and disorderly conduct for shoving a lieutenant detective. David Landry, 21, was arrested for disorderly conduct after climbing a traffic control signal and refusing to climb down.
