In a shocking incident in Houston, Texas, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office apprehended a man for driving under the influence with a child passenger on June 15, 2024. The arrest took place in the 22900 block of River Birch Drive following reports of a male found unconscious in a vehicle parked in a moving lane of traffic.
Upon reaching the scene, law enforcement officers discovered Enroy Levy, the driver, asleep at the wheel with an 11-year-old child in the car. Levy exhibited numerous signs of intoxication, prompting deputies to conduct Standardized Field Sobriety Tests which confirmed his inebriated state. Subsequently, Child Protective Services were contacted, and the child was safely handed over to a guardian who arrived at the scene.
Levy was taken into custody and booked into the Harris County Jail on charges of Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Passenger. Information regarding his bail and court proceedings was not immediately available.
