In a separate incident in Serem, Vihiga, a night guard named Nathan Muyongaa was found murdered at Kibeywa village. Muyongaa, aged 72, was attacked while on duty at a local petrol station, succumbing to a fatal blow to the head.
Following Muyongaa’s demise, the assailants proceeded to break into a nearby shop, making off with a range of items including shoes, sugar, kitchenware, and cash. Before making their escape, the gang set fire to a wooden gate in the vicinity.
