ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Two individuals were apprehended in connection with a fireworks theft following a brief pursuit involving a U-Haul vehicle over the weekend, as reported by the Cartersville Police Department.
According to authorities, a Bartow County Sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a U-Haul box truck after noticing it behind the Cartersville Crossing Shopping Center at 407 E. Main Street in the early hours of Saturday morning.
After a short chase, the truck came to a halt and the driver and passenger fled the scene. One of the suspects, Adrian Jamar Daniels, was apprehended on site by law enforcement officers.
Upon searching the U-Haul, deputies discovered a significant quantity of fireworks that had been stolen during a burglary at the Great Grizzly Fireworks Store within the shopping center.

Authorities have formally charged Daniels with burglary, theft by taking, theft by receiving, fleeing and eluding, altering a tag with intent to conceal a vehicle’s identity, failure to adhere to a traffic control device, driving with a suspended license, and obstruction.
A second suspect, identified as Sharina Victoria Jackson, was also taken into custody on a charge of being an accessory to the crime.
Both Daniels and Jackson have been detained at the Bartow County Jail pending a bond hearing.
