Pelican Rapids, MN – The tragic motorcycle accident that occurred on Father’s Day has left the community of Pelican Rapids mourning the loss of a young man. The victim has been identified as 21-year-old Wesley Lafromboise from West Fargo.
The incident took place at approximately 5:15 on Sunday evening in Dunn Township, located northeast of Pelican Rapids. The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office swiftly responded to the scene of the crash.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered Lafromboise, the adult operator of the motorcycle, with severe injuries. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by emergency responders, Lafromboise succumbed to his injuries.
It has been reported that Lafromboise was wearing proper protective gear, including a helmet, jacket, and gloves at the time of the accident. Alcohol is not believed to have played a role in the crash.
In addition to the Sheriff’s Office, the response team included Pelican Rapids Ambulance, Pelican Rapids Fire Department, and Life Link Air Ambulance, all of whom worked tirelessly to assist in the aftermath of the tragedy.
