In a devastating incident in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, a 23-year-old woman, Shweta Survase, met with a fatal accident after she accidentally reversed her car off a 300-foot-deep cliff in the Sulibhanjan area on Monday afternoon.
Reports suggest that Shweta was attempting to drive while her friend, Shivraj Mule, was filming a video. Tragically, she mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake while the car was in reverse gear. This led to the car sliding backward, breaking through a crash barrier, and plunging into the valley below.
A Khutabad police station official commented on the incident, stating, “Survase tried her hand at driving while her friend Shivraj Mule was shooting a video. She accidentally pressed the accelerator while the car was in reverse gear.” It took rescuers nearly an hour to reach the spot and retrieve the car. Unfortunately, Shweta was pronounced dead upon arrival at a nearby hospital.
