Authorities in Bisrakh, Noida, have reported an incident where a 28-year-old man was shot and injured by two individuals on a motorcycle. The altercation between the victim and the suspects is said to be the result of a long-standing rivalry between them. Fortunately, the suspects have been apprehended by the police.
The victim, identified as Sandeep Nagar, resides with his family in the Milak Lachhi village of Bisrakh, Greater Noida. According to the police report, the incident took place on a Sunday evening while Sandeep was outside his gym in the Bisrakh area. The two suspects, Shubhit Nagar and Sandeep Nagar, approached him on a motorcycle, leading to a heated argument due to their ongoing feud.
Station House Officer Arvind Kumar stated, ‘During the altercation, Shubhit fired a homemade pistol, injuring Sandeep in the left leg. The sound of the gunshot alerted Sandeep’s uncle, who rushed to the scene and found him wounded.’ Sandeep was promptly taken to a nearby private hospital for medical treatment and is currently in stable condition.
Following Sandeep’s complaint, the Bisrakh police station registered a case against the suspects under IPC sections 307 (attempted murder) and 504 (intentional insult). The suspects were apprehended from the Milak Lachhi area on Monday morning, and a countrymade pistol along with live and empty cartridges were recovered from them. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
