Accident – Death – Obituary News :

A man from York County is set to stand trial on charges related to the alleged sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl, invasion of privacy, producing obscene material, and engaging in sexual intercourse with an animal. Ryan Anthony Peters, 39, of Spring Grove, has rejected a plea deal and is scheduled to appear in court during the week of September 9 to face the allegations from three separate cases.

Peters’ attorney, Korey Leslie, requested a trial date several months in the future to allow for a thorough review of the evidence in the case. This evidence includes a cell phone containing child pornography and several videos related to the charges.

The incident was reported on July 3, 2023, by a 16-year-old girl to the Pennsylvania State Police, Troop H, Carlisle Station. The victim stated that she had been sexually assaulted on June 29, 2023, at a residence on Buffalo Valley Road in Codorus Township, York County.

According to the victim, she had accompanied her mother to Peters’ residence for a cookout on the evening of June 29. Peters, who was a friend of her mother’s, was present at the gathering along with his roommate, Jadzia Martin.

Following the report, the York Criminal Investigation Unit took over the investigation. It was revealed that Peters had been a registered sex offender since 2007, with a prior conviction for Statutory Sexual Assault and Failure to Comply.

During a search of Peters’ residence on July 11, 2023, police discovered cameras with SD cards containing footage of multiple victims engaged in sexual acts without their consent. Additionally, a separate SD card showed Peters and two others mistreating a dog in a disturbing manner, including engaging in sexual intercourse with the animal.

The evidence obtained during the search led to the formal charges against Peters, who now faces trial for his alleged crimes. The trial is expected to shed further light on the disturbing acts that have been reported.

This case serves as a reminder of the importance of holding individuals accountable for their actions and ensuring justice for the victims involved. The legal proceedings will provide an opportunity for the truth to be brought to light and for the appropriate consequences to be determined.
