Accident – Death – Obituary News : Four individuals have been apprehended and charged in connection with the robbery of United States Postal Service (USPS) employees in Greensboro and Charlotte, as confirmed by officials from the Greensboro Police Department. The incident occurred on Monday morning, where a USPS employee was reportedly held at gunpoint while carrying out mail deliveries in the vicinity of Glenwood Avenue and Haywood Street.

This was not an isolated incident, as another USPS employee in Greensboro was similarly targeted on the same morning. Law enforcement officers were able to obtain a description of the suspects’ vehicle, a blue Nissan Rogue with a North Carolina license plate, and promptly issued an alert to authorities in the area.

Subsequently, the suspects proceeded to Charlotte and committed further robberies against USPS employees there. The Greensboro PD’s Violent Crime Reduction Team located the blue Rogue in the 2400 block of Randleman Road on Monday afternoon at 2:40 p.m. A traffic stop was initiated, leading to a foot chase with the suspects. During the pursuit, one of the suspects, identified as 18-year-old Jason Harrington, accidentally discharged a firearm, injuring himself below the waist.

Harrington was swiftly transported to a local hospital, where his injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening. Alongside him, three other suspects were taken into custody: 19-year-old Taijawan Cross, 21-year-old Shaun Clark, and 20-year-old Deonte Overby. The quartet now faces charges of two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of felony conspiracy.

Further charges related to the Charlotte robberies are currently pending against the suspects. They are presently held in custody at the Guilford County Jail. Fortunately, no USPS employees sustained injuries during the course of the robberies. Individuals possessing relevant information are urged to contact Greensboro/Guilford Crime Stoppers at 336-373-1000.
