In a tragic incident on Jalan Kuala Krai-Gua Musang, a teenager lost her life while four others sustained injuries when the vehicle they were travelling in collided with an electricity pole. The deceased has been identified as 14-year-old Huda Wafiah Eswady.
The Kelantan Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at 7.17am and immediately dispatched seven personnel from the Gua Musang Fire and Rescue Station to the scene. The accident resulted in one severe injury and minor injuries to three other individuals.
Rescue operation
Upon arrival, firefighters found a Toyota Hilux that had veered off the road and crashed into an electricity pole. Specialised equipment was used to extricate the trapped teenage girl from the vehicle. Despite their efforts, she tragically succumbed to her injuries.
The four injured victims were promptly taken to Gua Musang Hospital for medical treatment. The authorities have taken over the case for further investigation.
