Gov. Greg Abbott : “Gov. Abbott Reward for Round Rock Juneteenth Gunman Info”

Governor Greg Abbott has announced that the Governor’s Public Safety Office is offering a $10,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the individuals responsible for the tragic shooting at the Round Rock Juneteenth celebration. The incident resulted in the death of two women and left 14 others injured, according to the Round Rock police.

The victims of the shooting have been identified as Lyndsey Vicknair, 33, and Ara Duke, 54. Vicknair, a mother of three and an attorney at an Austin law firm, and Duke, an educational administrator at an Austin school and soon-to-be grandmother, were both attending the Juneteenth celebration at Old Settlers Park when a confrontation between two groups turned violent, resulting in their tragic deaths.

In a statement, Governor Abbott expressed his deep sorrow over the tragic incident and pledged full support to local law enforcement in bringing the culprits to justice. He encouraged anyone with information about the crime to come forward and assist in the investigation.

Following Abbott’s announcement, Williamson County Crime Stoppers and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives have also offered rewards, bringing the total reward money to $20,000.

During a press conference, Round Rock Police Chief Allen Banks described the gunman as a 19 or 20-year-old male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, with short dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a white hoodie and is considered to be armed and dangerous.
