According to reports from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office, two children were crossing the road when a Mercedes-Benz travelling eastbound struck one of them. Tragically, the young girl, identified as Alivia Miller, succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The driver of the Mercedes-Benz, 26-year-old Eric Estrada from Ligonier, was allegedly driving under the influence of a controlled substance at the time of the collision. As a result, he has been charged with Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) causing fatality.
