DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. — A man wanted on terroristic threats charges has been arrested in Dauphin County.
According to the Susquehanna Township Police Department, on Tuesday, June 18 at 10:45 a.m., officers were called to the 2000 block of Alexis Drive to assist the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force with a barricaded suspect. The Dauphin County Crisis Response Team also was called to the scene.
After a standoff that lasted several hours, the suspect, identified as Ashok Gajmer, finally surrendered to authorities at 2:30 p.m. The surrender occurred after chemical munitions were placed around the home by the Dauphin County Crisis Response Team.
Ashok Gajmer was wanted on charges of terroristic threats and other associated offenses. The arrest brings a sense of relief to the local community, as authorities worked diligently to ensure a peaceful resolution to the situation.
