– Arrested in Double Murder
– Two Suspects in Double Killing.

Accident – Death – Obituary News : Hernando County Sheriff Al Nienhuis and Citrus County Sheriff Mike Prendergast convened a joint Press Conference on the morning of June 17, 2024, to provide updates to the public regarding recent arrests made in connection with two homicides. The homicides came to light during a collaborative investigation into the disappearance of Jamie Lin MacDonald, who was reported missing from Hernando County on May 12, 2024.

As the search for MacDonald unfolded, investigators stumbled upon a second victim, identified as Kenneth Zikendrath. Shockingly, Zikendrath had not been reported missing and appeared to have passed away 1-2 years ago. Sheriff Nienhuis disclosed that MacDonald had reached out to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) regarding a troubling individual, who was subsequently ruled out in her disappearance. However, it was revealed that Lue’Quita Sclesky was in the company of MacDonald during her contact with HCSO. The investigation into MacDonald’s disappearance led HCSO to probe both Lue’Quita and Duane Sclesky, linking them to MacDonald in what was described as a “high-risk lifestyle.” Additionally, Zikendrath was found to have ties to the Scleskys.

Zikendrath’s remains were discovered in Hernando County, in a concealed location situated between Commercial Way and Mariner Boulevard. Meanwhile, MacDonald’s body was found in Citrus County on June 14th. While autopsy reports were not available at the time of the press conference, Nienhuis confirmed that both victims had met a violent end.

Following the discovery that the Scleskys had used MacDonald’s credit card at an ATM, HCSO and CCSO conducted interviews with the couple. Subsequently, probable cause was established to charge the pair. Lue’Quita Sclesky, aged 32, was arrested on 27 counts of Fraud, while Duane Sclesky, aged 38, faced charges of drug trafficking, possession of drug equipment, driving on a suspended license, and homicide.

Sheriff Prendergast emphasized the importance of remembering the victims in this case, stating, “They may have been living a high-risk lifestyle, but they certainly did not deserve to meet such a tragic end.” He urged friends, family members, and associates of the victims to come forward with any additional information they may possess.

To further aid in the identification of the suspects, images of Duane Sclesky and Lue’Quita Sclesky were released to the public. Duane Sclesky, born on October 23, 1985, and Lue’Quita Sclesky, born on October 22, 1991, were depicted in the images.
