NYSP investigating deadly UTV accident in Jefferson County.

WATERTOWN, N.Y. – The New York State Police are currently conducting an investigation into a tragic UTV crash that occurred on Saturday night in Jefferson County, resulting in one fatality and another individual sustaining serious injuries.
At approximately 8:45 p.m. on Saturday evening, Troopers from the state police headquarters in Watertown were dispatched to the scene of a single UTV personal-injury accident at 24851 Mullin Road in the Town of Brownville.
Upon arrival, it was determined that a Polaris Ranger 900 UTV was travelling south on Mullin Road when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to exit the right shoulder of the roadway and collide with a utility pole. The UTV came to rest on its side, facing north in the west shoulder of the road.
The operator of the UTV was identified as 38-year-old Timothy Queior, a resident of Dexter, who tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, 28-year-old Brandon Sherman, also from Dexter, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted by Lifeflight to Upstate Hospital for treatment.
State Police were aided at the scene by Guilfoyle Ambulance and the Brownville Fire Department, who provided assistance and support during the response to the incident.
The investigation into the crash is currently ongoing as authorities work to determine the cause and circumstances surrounding the tragic accident.
