Tragically, one of the students, identified as Shubham Bhumarde, aged 27 and pursuing an MCA degree, succumbed to his injuries. The other student, identified as Manas Shrivastav, aged 26 and studying engineering, is currently in critical condition. Both students hailed from Balaghat district and were residing in Jabalpur while pursuing their studies.

They were intercepted by four youths on two motorcycles near Changi Shani Temple, who proceeded to launch a brutal attack on them with sharp weapons.
