Accident – Death – Obituary News : A tragic incident unfolded in Basantpur Chintamani panchayat under Ballia police station of Purnia district as a 16-year-old girl, Pinky Kumari, was discovered hanging from a tree in a litchi orchard on Sunday. The young girl, the daughter of Lukhar Mandal from Bela village, Raghuvansh Nagar police station, was found lifeless with her scarf tied around her neck.

The authorities swiftly responded to the distressing scene, with Dhamdaha SDPO Sandeep Goldy and Ballia SHO Ajay Kumar leading the investigation. SDPO Sandeep Goldy emphasized the importance of a thorough examination of all aspects of the case, revealing that forensic and dog squad teams had been summoned to collect crucial samples from the site. The body was subsequently transferred to GMCH, Purnia, for a detailed post-mortem examination.
