The Texas Department of Public Safety has officially named the victim of the tragic crop-duster airplane crash in Cochran County as Philip Joseph Kitten. The incident also left Jeremy Deshawn Williams injured, according to the latest reports.

Emergency services were alerted to the collision near County Road 235 and Highway 114 at approximately 8:38 a.m. last Friday morning.

Initial reports from the Cochran County Sheriff’s Office revealed that two air tractors were engaged in spraying activities in a cotton field when they collided mid-air, resulting in a fire post-impact.

Philip Joseph Kitten was tragically pronounced dead at the scene, while Jeremy Deshawn Williams sustained injuries and was promptly transported to the hospital for medical attention.

Authorities from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) stated that an investigator is currently on-site, documenting the crash scene and examining the aircraft involved. They have requested that any witnesses or individuals with relevant information, including surveillance footage, contact the NTSB at witness@ntsb.gov.
