HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The individual who was discovered deceased with evident signs of injury in a parking area in Henrico County on Sunday evening has been officially identified by law enforcement authorities.
The deceased has been named as 23-year-old Lamontae Aubrey Scott, from the Sandston region of Henrico County.
Police Response and Investigation
At approximately 7:24 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, officers from the Henrico County Police Division were called to the 4600 block of Grand Ledge Court following reports of a shooting incident.
Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement officers found Scott in the parking lot, where he exhibited visible signs of trauma. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the location.
Ongoing Homicide Inquiry
Detectives are currently in the process of conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting incident. The case has been classified as a homicide, and authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist with the investigation.
