The Cape Coral Police Department responded to a hit-and-run situation where a white pick-up truck crashed into another vehicle and fled the scene. Witnesses reported the same truck with a blown-out front tire speeding through a residential area, prompting concerns about the driver’s erratic behaviour.
Upon locating Juan Lago at a Circle K, law enforcement officers described him as aggressive, with slurred speech and glossy eyes. Despite denying involvement in any crash, a pocketknife was found in his possession. Witnesses at the scene provided accounts of Lago’s actions, shedding light on the escalating situation.
According to reports, Lago made multiple visits to a liquor store, purchasing alcohol and engaging in confrontational behaviour with the store employees. His erratic actions included making inflammatory remarks and attempting to incite a fight before abruptly leaving in his truck. Subsequent events unfolded as Lago aggressively confronted a woman on the road, leading to a physical altercation with a maintenance worker who intervened to calm the situation.
