Accident – Death – Obituary News : The Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Zone 2 and the Henry Mercer County Investigative Task Force are seeking the public’s help in locating a person of interest, as stated in a recent press release.
Following a welfare check on June 8 at a residence in the 800 block of West Division Street, Kewanee Police officers discovered an unresponsive individual who was later pronounced deceased.
Authorities have since identified 26-year-old James Reed III, a resident of Kewanee, as a person of interest in connection with a homicide investigation. Efforts are currently underway to locate Reed, and the public is urged not to approach him. Anyone with information related to the case is encouraged to reach out to Illinois State Police Sgt.
