The Illinois State Police are appealing to the public for assistance in locating a man believed to be connected to a homicide in Kewanee. 26-year-old James Reed III has been identified as a person of interest in a case dating back to June 8th.
Authorities were called to the 800 block of West Division Street following a welfare check, where they discovered an unresponsive man who was later pronounced deceased. After an extensive investigation, law enforcement agents are still actively searching for Reed.
If you happen to see James Reed III, do not approach him. Instead, contact the Illinois State Police immediately to provide any information that may aid in his apprehension.
