CEBU CITY, Philippines – An unfortunate incident unfolded in Cebu City as unidentified gunmen took the life of a barangay worker, Edward Abayan, while he was enjoying his lunch on Monday, June 17.
Authorities from Mambaling Police Department confirmed a shooting incident at Brgy. Duljo Fatima that resulted in the tragic death of the 44-year-old victim.

Edward Abayan, a resident of Alaska Mambaling and an administrative staff member at the barangay, was the unfortunate victim in this senseless act of violence.
Eyewitnesses reported that Abayan was dining at a local eatery on Spolarium Street in Brgy. Duljo Fatima around 1 p.m. when an unidentified assailant approached him and fired multiple shots, fatally wounding him on the spot.
The authorities are actively investigating the incident to identify the perpetrators and uncover the motives behind this heinous crime.
