LYNDON, Kan. (WIBW) – A man was taken into custody by Osage County sheriff’s deputies on Sunday evening for possession of methamphetamine following a traffic stop near Lyndon, authorities have reported.
The individual arrested has been identified as Dalton D. Pabst, a 31-year-old resident of Osage City.
According to Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells, the arrest took place during a traffic stop at 5:48 p.m. on Sunday at the intersection of K-268 highway and S. Adams Road, just east of the junction of US-75 and K-268 highways.
Sheriff Wells stated that a K-9 unit from the Osage County sheriff’s office initiated the traffic stop due to a violation.
Upon conducting the stop, illegal narcotics, specifically methamphetamine, were discovered in the vehicle.
Pabst was subsequently taken into custody and transferred to the Osage County Jail in Lyndon, where he was officially booked on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
