Accident – Death – Obituary News : The Rajasthan Police apprehended a 19-year-old man on Sunday, June 16, in connection with the alleged kidnapping and subsequent murder of a minor girl from Madhya Pradesh. The accused, identified as Arjun Prajapati, also hails from Madhya Pradesh and had brought the girl to Jaipur, where a confrontation ensued, resulting in a fatal assault. Tragically, the girl passed away due to her injuries while receiving medical treatment, as per police reports.
According to local media sources, the accused, who was taken into custody at Bindayaka police station, had relocated to Nimeda village in Jaipur approximately two months ago with the victim. Both individuals were working as laborers in the area. It has been revealed that Prajapati originally belongs to Nimeda, Sirsi Road, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh.
A formal complaint was lodged against the accused by the girl’s parents on Saturday, June 15. Subsequently, a case was registered against Prajapati under charges of rape and murder, in addition to violations of the POCSO Act and SC-ST Act.
The police have disclosed that the accused is currently in police custody for further questioning. He was presented in court on Sunday for legal proceedings.
The incident has sparked outrage and concern among the local community, highlighting the importance of addressing issues related to violence and crime. The authorities are working diligently to ensure justice is served in this tragic case.
