Child in Adelaide Hospitalized with Invasive Meningococcal Disease

A two-year-old boy from metropolitan Adelaide is currently in stable condition in hospital after being diagnosed with invasive meningococcal disease caused by serotype B. SA Health has identified several individuals who have had contact with the child, with four of them being advised to take clearance antibiotics as a preventive measure against further transmission.

Symptoms and Prevention
