A tragic incident unfolded in Nimbahera, Rajasthan, as three members of a family lost their lives after being run over by a train near the local railway station. The Nimbahera Kotwali Station House Officer, Ramsumer Meena, revealed that the victims, unable to hear the approaching train due to loud music from a nearby temple, met with this unfortunate fate late on Saturday night.
The individuals who lost their lives were identified as 45-year-old Mohanlal Dhobi, who passed away at a district hospital, and his wife Lalita (40) and another relative, Devshree (35), who tragically died at the scene of the accident.
Authorities have dispatched the bodies for postmortem examination as the investigation into the incident continues.
In a separate incident in Rajasthan, a devastating collision involving a public transport bus and a loaded truck resulted in two fatalities in Bharatpur, with six others sustaining injuries.
Officials stated that the accident occurred on the Sevar road in Bharatpur, with the bus driver and another individual on a motorcycle losing their lives in the mishap. “The truck trolley, travelling from Mathura bypass, collided with the bus from Bayana. A motorcyclist, Pratap (50) from village Richoli in Bayana, and Harbhan (35) from Tikaria in Rudawal, also lost their lives in the accident,” a police official explained.
“The injured are currently receiving treatment at the RBM government hospital, with some in critical condition,” they added.
