TORONTO — Authorities in Toronto are currently on the lookout for two individuals connected to a tragic incident that resulted in the death of a 16-year-old boy. The incident, described as an altercation, took place in the Glendower Circuit and Birchmount Road area on Saturday afternoon.
According to reports, Toronto Police received a distress call regarding a shooting in the mentioned area just before 2 p.m. on Saturday. Upon arrival at the scene, it was revealed that two suspects were involved in the altercation. One of the suspects reportedly fled the scene on foot, while the other made their escape in a white SUV.
The victim of the incident has been identified as Kayelin Rider-Downey, who tragically lost his life and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Although the suspects remain at large and have not been formally identified, authorities have provided some descriptions. One of the suspects is described as a Black male, last seen wearing a red hat and red shirt. The second suspect, also identified as a Black male, was reportedly wearing a black hoodie at the time of the incident.
Anyone who may have information that could assist in the investigation is urged to come forward and contact the Toronto Police Department.
