Accident – Death – Obituary News : New Delhi: The Delhi Police made a significant breakthrough on Saturday with the arrest of a 28-year-old man, Jitender, who was part of a gang involved in stealing vehicles and using minors to deliver them to new buyers. This discovery has shed light on a disturbing trend of exploiting vulnerable children for criminal activities.

Jitender, who had prior involvement in cases of attempted murder and under the Arms Act, was apprehended by a team led by inspector Vijay Pal Dahiya under ACP Naresh Solanki. The arrest came following a meticulous operation to track down a stolen bike to Uttam Nagar.

According to DCP Rakesh Paweriya, the team spent nearly 30 hours monitoring the area before catching Jitender in the act of picking up the stolen bike. Further investigation revealed that Jitender had two accomplices who stole bikes and passed them on to him. He, in turn, enlisted minors from underprivileged backgrounds to deliver the stolen vehicles, paying them a meagre sum of Rs 500 per delivery.

“We have discovered that three children were involved in delivering the stolen bikes. These children, who come from impoverished families, were unknowingly drawn into criminal activities by Jitender and his associates,” the officer stated.

The arrest of Jitender and the dismantling of this vehicle theft gang highlight the importance of safeguarding vulnerable members of society from exploitation by criminal elements. The Delhi Police’s swift action in apprehending the culprits demonstrates their commitment to maintaining law and order in the city.

In related news, recent incidents of reckless driving have resulted in tragic consequences. Prakash Chodankar, the president of Ponda Motorcycle Taxi Association, lost his life in a collision involving a speeding crane truck in Farmagudi. The absence of proper safety measures at the accident site, despite government regulations for motorcycle pilots, has raised concerns about road safety.

Similarly, in Hyderabad, a minor driving a family SUV caused havoc near the Golden Temple in Manikonda by colliding with multiple bikes and injuring bystanders. The teenager’s reckless actions have led to a case being filed against them, underscoring the need for stricter enforcement of traffic laws to prevent such incidents in the future..
