Tragedy struck early Sunday morning at Saracen Landing in Pine Bluff, as one man was killed and three others were injured in a shooting incident, as reported by the Pine Bluff Police Department.
Shortly after midnight, law enforcement officers were alerted to the sound of gunshots at Saracen Landing. Subsequently, four individuals arrived at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in a private vehicle with gunshot wounds. Police officers swiftly responded to both the medical center and the crime scene, which was identified on the west side of the parking lot at Saracen Landing.
While three of the victims were fortunate to have non-life-threatening injuries, one individual, identified as 20-year-old Corey Berrien, tragically succumbed to his serious injuries shortly after arriving at the emergency room, according to authorities.
The Pine Bluff Police Department is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. At this time, no information about potential suspects has been released.
