The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) announced on Sunday that two soldiers were killed in north Gaza when their tank was attacked by Palestinian resistance fighters over the weekend. The soldiers have been identified as Captain Eitan Koplovich, 28 years old, and Warrant Officer Elon Weiss, 49 years old. Both soldiers were from the 8th Reserve Armored Brigade’s 129th Battalion.

The tragic incident occurred when an explosive device detonated against their tank, as stated by the IOF. In addition to the two fatalities, two other soldiers sustained serious injuries in the same attack.

These casualties bring the total number of killed IOF soldiers in the ground invasion of the Gaza Strip to 311. The ongoing conflict in the region has resulted in a significant loss of life on both sides, with civilians also being caught in the crossfire.
