A 25-year-old man, identified as Banwarilal Laturlal Gujar from Bundi, has been arrested by the Mumbai Police in connection with the recent firing incident at Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence. The accused is believed to be a follower of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
According to officials, Gujar allegedly uploaded a video on his YouTube channel where he threatened to kill Salman Khan for not apologising. In the video, he mentioned being associated with Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar, and other gang members.
The police have registered an offence at the South Cyber Police Station under sections 506(2), 504, 34 of the IPC, and section 66(d) of the Information Technology (IT) Act against the individual responsible for the threatening video.
This latest development adds a new twist to the ongoing investigation into the firing incident at Salman Khan’s residence. Earlier, on April 14, two unidentified assailants on a motorbike fired five rounds outside Khan’s house in Bandra. Six suspects were arrested in connection with the shooting, with one of them, Anuj Thapan, reportedly dying by suicide while in police custody on May 1.
Recently, the police recorded Salman Khan’s statement regarding the incident. The actor informed the authorities that he was asleep at the time of the shooting. The investigation into the case continues as the police delve deeper into the motives behind the attack.
