A man was apprehended in India’s Rajasthan for allegedly making death threats against Bollywood actor Salman Khan in a video posted on YouTube. Mumbai police disclosed that the suspect, identified as 25-year-old Banwarilal Laturlal Gujar, uploaded a video to his YouTube channel where he stated, “Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar, and other gang members are supporting me, and I am planning to kill Salman Khan as he has not issued an apology yet.”

Police Action and Investigation

Following the video’s recording on a highway in Rajasthan and its subsequent upload, a police team was swiftly dispatched to the region. The accused, Gujar, was taken into custody, and a case has been lodged at a cyber police station in Mumbai.

Speaking on the matter, an official mentioned, “We are currently verifying if Gujar has a criminal history. He has been detained under pertinent sections of the Indian Penal Code.”

Previous Incidents and Investigations

Earlier this year, Mumbai police began an inquiry after two individuals on motorcycles fired shots outside Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra. In connection with the case, six individuals were arrested, with one reportedly dying by suicide while in police custody.

Subsequently, five more individuals, including a suspected associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar gangs, were apprehended for their involvement in a separate scheme to target Salman Khan.

Statements Recorded

Recently, Mumbai police’s crime branch took statements from Salman Khan and his younger brother Arbaaz Khan concerning the shooting incident outside their residence. The gangster Lawrence Bishnoi had previously expressed intentions to eliminate Khan due to an incident involving the killing of a black buck, considered sacred by the Bishnoi community, in 1998.

Further Developments

Following the shooting incident, Bishnoi’s brother Anmol claimed responsibility for the attack on social media. It was revealed that the weapons used in the assault were acquired in Panvel in March, and Anmol provided the shooters with information about Khan, motivating them to carry out the attack.

As investigations continue, Mumbai police are working to ensure the safety and security of Salman Khan and other individuals involved in the case.
