A 33-year-old man is currently in police custody after a violent incident at a graduation party in Medina. The altercation took place on Saturday evening at the Falling Oaks Clubhouse on Guilford Boulevard.
According to reports from the authorities, the incident began when a pedestrian passing by became involved in a confrontation with attendees of the party. The situation quickly escalated, resulting in a 36-year-old man being stabbed.
Law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene discovered a knife, but the suspect had already fled before their arrival. The victim was promptly transported to Medina Hospital for medical treatment, although the severity of his injuries remains undisclosed.
Following a thorough investigation, the alleged assailant was identified as Antonio Darnell Watkins, a resident of Medina. Watkins was tracked down at a residence in Lakewood and subsequently taken into custody.
Police have charged Watkins with felonious assault, a second-degree felony. However, additional charges may be levied against him as the investigation progresses.
