A 33-year-old man has been taken into custody after allegedly stabbing another man at a graduation party in Medina, according to local police reports.
The incident occurred around 8 p.m. on Saturday at the Falling Oaks Clubhouse located in the 800 block of Guilford Boulevard in Medina. Police were called to the scene after a passerby got into a confrontation with partygoers, which resulted in the stabbing of a 36-year-old man.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a knife at the scene but the assailant had already fled. The victim was immediately transported to Medina Hospital for medical treatment, and his current condition remains unknown.
Suspect identified and Arrested
Following an investigation, authorities were able to identify the suspect as Antonio Darnell Watkins, a 33-year-old resident of Medina. Watkins was located at a residence in Lakewood and was subsequently taken into custody.
Watkins has been charged with felonious assault, which is classified as a second-degree felony. Police have indicated that additional charges may be brought against him as the investigation progresses.
The incident has shocked the community and raised concerns about the safety of social gatherings in the area. Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to local law enforcement.
