DARTMOUTH, MA – Driver Faces Multiple Charges After Early Morning Car Crash

In the early hours of the morning, a car crash in Dartmouth resulted in the arrest of the driver on multiple charges.

At approximately midnight, Dartmouth Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at 856 Faunce Corner Rd, where a vehicle had collided with a tree.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a baggie containing suspected Psilocybin (commonly known as mushrooms) and a significant amount of cash inside the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle unveiled pills believed to be Oxycodone and Xanax, a Psilocybin-infused chocolate bar, Marijuana vape cartridges, $1,262 in cash, a BB gun resembling a Glock, a black ski mask, and other items associated with the illegal distribution of narcotics.

One of the passengers in the vehicle, later identified as 20-year-old Shawn Walsh from Middleboro, was taken into custody and charged with possession with intent to distribute Class B substances, possession with intent to distribute Class E substances, and possession with intent to distribute Class C substances.

The arresting officer in this case was Patrolman Max Szteliga.
