In Chesterfield, a man has been arrested by the police for allegedly robbing a bank last month while disguised in a UPS uniform.
The incident took place at the Truist Bank on Hull Street Road on Tuesday, May 21 at approximately 11:40 a.m. The suspect entered the bank and handed a note to a bank employee demanding money, claiming to be armed. After receiving the cash, the suspect fled the scene. Surveillance footage showed the perpetrator dressed in a complete UPS work uniform.
Fortunately, no one was harmed during the robbery. Authorities have identified the suspect as Rondell E. Davis, a 40-year-old resident of Prince George. Detectives have issued warrants for Davis for charges of robbery, using a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possessing a firearm as a felon.
On Thursday, June 13, Davis was apprehended by law enforcement and is currently being detained without bail at the Chesterfield County Jail.
The swift action taken by the Chesterfield police has led to the arrest of the suspect, ensuring that justice is served in this case of brazen criminal activity.
