Two individuals lost their lives in a devastating incident at Champion Farm in the Town of Kirkland, New York on Thursday, June 13. The victims, identified as 33-year-old Nathan Doody from DeRuyter and 29-year-old Tyler Memory from Tully, tragically passed away after falling into a manure tanker.
According to Kirkland Police, the first man attempted to retrieve a piece of equipment that had fallen into the tanker. However, upon entering the tanker, he lost consciousness and fell in. Subsequently, the second man rushed to his aid but also succumbed to the toxic fumes and fell into the tanker.
Emergency services, including COCVAC Ambulance, the Clinton Fire Department, and Mercy Flight, swiftly responded to the scene. The two men were promptly attended to and transported to Wynn Hospital for further medical intervention. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, both men were tragically pronounced dead.
