Michael Sebastian : “Alexandria Hospital Death Linked to DC Navy Yard Shooting”

ALEXANDRIA, VA — The body of a man discovered in the parking lot of Inova Alexandria Hospital has been connected to a shooting incident at D.C.’s Navy Yard, as confirmed by local authorities.

Police in Alexandria received a distress call at approximately 3:03 a.m. on Wednesday reporting a man with gunshot wounds lying outside one of the hospital’s entrances. Despite efforts by hospital staff to save him, the man succumbed to his injuries.

An investigation revealed that the shooting actually took place at 88 K Street SE in Washington, DC. Metropolitan Police in D.C. were alerted to gunshots in the area around 2:26 a.m. on the same day. While officers identified a crime scene at the location, they did not find any victims present.

Subsequent inquiries by detectives led to the identification of the victim as Michael Sebastian, aged 31, from Southeast, DC. It was determined that he had sustained gunshot wounds in the unit block of K Street before being brought to the hospital.
