GRAND FORKS, N.D. (Valley News Live) – A Grand Forks resident, Mark Boyer, has been taken into custody following a domestic assault incident that occurred on Thursday night.
According to reports, Grand Forks Police responded to a call in the 600 block of N. 5th St. regarding a domestic assault at approximately 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 13. Upon arrival, officers found a female victim outside the residence with visible injuries to her face. She was promptly transported to Altru Hospital for medical treatment.
Efforts to communicate with the suspect, Mark Boyer, proved unsuccessful as he refused to cooperate with law enforcement. Subsequently, Grand Forks Police entered the property to apprehend Boyer. Despite initial resistance, officers managed to subdue him using pepper spray and successfully took him into custody.
Mark Boyer was subsequently transported to the Grand Forks County Correctional Center, where he was charged with Aggravated Assault, Resisting Arrest, and Possession of Methamphetamine. The investigation into this case is ongoing.
