Accident – Death – Obituary News :

Kase Palmer, a 27-year-old individual, has been formally charged with a series of criminal offences in Pierce County, including robbery, burglary, hit-and-run, and theft of a motor vehicle. These charges stem from a string of incidents that took place in the local area.

Documented reports from Pierce County Superior Court outline the sequence of events that began at approximately 7:44 p.m. on June 11 when Lakewood police officers discovered a stolen red Nissan Sentra parked and running on 108th Street S.W.

Initial investigations revealed that the vehicle was stationary in front of the Famous Footwear store, with a woman named Lisa Perva beside it. Perva, who is said to be in a romantic relationship with Palmer, denied any knowledge of the car being stolen. At that time, Palmer was not present at the scene.

Later on, while transporting Perva away from the location, an officer observed the front emergency exit door of Burlington Coat Factory ajar. Palmer was spotted attempting to push a cart loaded with items out of the store. When approached by officers, Palmer fled to the stolen Nissan and refused to exit the vehicle, leading to a pursuit that culminated in a collision with a Kia at the intersection of Avondale Road S.W. and Gravelly Lake. The collision resulted in injuries to the Kia’s driver and her 9-year-old daughter.

Following the crash, Palmer absconded on foot, prompting law enforcement to establish a containment perimeter and call for a K9 unit. Subsequently, at around 8 p.m., a robbery was reported at a residence on Mills Drive S.W. The homeowner, a 72-year-old woman, recounted that a man matching Palmer’s description forcibly entered her home, physically harmed her, and stole her vehicle.

The stolen Chevrolet Suburban linked to the home invasion was recovered by officers on June 12. After a brief search, Palmer was apprehended hiding in a backyard on East 72nd Street. During his arrest, Palmer claimed to be experiencing a seizure, although officers suspected he was feigning a medical emergency.

Palmer subsequently alleged that he had ingested fentanyl and received medical attention from emergency personnel before being cleared for custody. On June 13, formal charges were brought against Palmer, including first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle, failure to remain at an injury accident, and theft of a motor vehicle.

During Palmer’s arrest, Perva was present and was charged with unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle as an accessory to the alleged shoplifting incident. The investigation remains ongoing, with additional charges expected to be levied against Palmer.
