Authorities in Green Bay, Wisconsin have charged two men from the Marinette area with homicide following a deadly stabbing that occurred on June 3. The suspects, identified as 32-year-old Aaron Walton from Menominee, Michigan, and 39-year-old Joseph Poore from Marinette, Wisconsin, are facing serious charges in connection with the tragic incident.

The victim of the stabbing has been identified as Robert Marshall, a resident of Green Bay. The criminal complaint, obtained by Local 5, details the events that led to the fatal stabbing on Green Bay’s east side.

According to court records, both Walton and Poore had their cash bond set at $1,000,000 each. The two suspects were arrested after authorities received a report of a man who was found with stab wounds on Roosevelt Street in Green Bay. The victim was discovered with significant injuries and bleeding, prompting a swift response from law enforcement.

Footage from a nearby residence helped identify a suspect vehicle, which was later located in Marinette County. Walton, Poore, and another individual were found inside the vehicle. During the investigation, a knife believed to be used in the stabbing was recovered near the Mason Street Bridge.

In interviews with authorities, Walton claimed that Poore had thrown the knife out of the window following the incident. He also alleged that Poore admitted to stabbing the victim. The complaint also revealed that drugs were involved in the altercation, with Walton stating that drugs were discarded out of the vehicle window in Oconto.

Walton further mentioned to investigators that they were in dire financial straits, and Poore had expressed a desire to rob the victim. The charges against Poore include first-degree intentional homicide and armed robbery as a party to the crime, both carrying significant prison sentences.
