A tragic incident occurred at a private resort in Puerto Peñasco, Mexico, where an El Paso, Texas man lost his life due to electrocution in a jacuzzi on Tuesday, as per reports.
According to a local NBC station in El Paso, the Mexican State of Sonora General Prosecutor’s Office disclosed that the victim, identified as 43-year-old Jorge N., was at the Sonoran Sea Resort with another individual named Lizeth N., where the incident took place just after 10 p.m.
The prosecutor’s office suggested that a potential wiring failure might have led to Jorge’s electrocution, while Lizeth suffered severe injuries as well.
Following the incident, Lizeth was promptly rushed to a nearby hospital, where medical professionals informed her that she had sustained burns consistent with an electric shock.

She was later transferred back to the United States for further treatment and was listed in critical condition, as stated by the general prosecutor’s office.

The witness recounted her attempt to enter the jacuzzi upon discovering the unresponsive couple, only to experience a shock herself.
