Gene Smith : Felton Man Faces Firearm Charges After Police Chase

A 24-year-old man from Felton, Delaware, has been taken into custody after allegedly leading police on a chase through Milford on Monday afternoon. Gene Smith was apprehended by authorities on Linstone Lane following the incident.

Upon approaching the driver, identified as Smith, the officer was met with resistance. Smith then reportedly fled the scene, prompting the officer to give chase. The pursuit concluded with Smith’s arrest on Linstone Lane.

During the subsequent search of Smith’s vehicle, law enforcement officials discovered a loaded shotgun in the trunk. Smith now faces multiple charges, including possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, disregarding a police officer signal, and various moving violations.
