MILWAUKEE – A woman and man from Milwaukee have been charged in connection with a shooting incident that took place near 51st and Roosevelt on June 9. The individuals in question are identified as 24-year-old Dejah Hull and 25-year-old Lavall Lee, who are facing several criminal charges:

According to the details outlined in the criminal complaint, a female victim arrived at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Sunday, June 9, with severe gunshot wounds to her face, neck, and right wrist. The victim stated that she was shot in the vicinity of 51st and Roosevelt, identifying Dejah Hull and a relative as the perpetrators. She mentioned that the suspects were likely driving a silver sedan without license plates.

Upon receiving this information, law enforcement officers proceeded to the area near 51st and Roosevelt. An officer observed a silver sedan without plates driving slowly past, turning around, and passing by again. The vehicle was occupied by a female driver and a male passenger.

Subsequently, two additional officers located the sedan near 48th and Scranton. Upon attempting to pull the vehicle over, the driver ignored their instructions and continued driving. The male passenger, later identified as Lavall Lee, exited the car near 48th and Leon and attempted to flee on foot. He was apprehended shortly thereafter, and a search revealed a Glock 19 with an extended magazine concealed in Lee’s clothing.

During a follow-up interview with the shooting victim conducted at Froedtert Hospital, she affirmed that she had been shot by her childhood acquaintance, Dejah Hull. When presented with photo arrays, the victim positively identified Hull as the shooter and Lee as Hull’s accomplice.

Further investigations carried out by Milwaukee detectives involved interviewing a witness to the incident. The witness revealed that the victim and Hull were close friends who had a dispute over a mutual romantic interest, leading to a physical altercation that escalated from indoors to outdoors.

Lavall Lee appeared in Milwaukee County court on Friday, June 14, for his initial hearing, where a cash bond of £60,000 was set.
