CLARKE COUNTY, Ga. – A second suspect has been apprehended in connection with the tragic murder of 20-year-old Cameron Manago in Athens on May 27.
Following the incident at Rolling Ridge Apartments where Manago was fatally shot around 10:25 p.m., Zyquavious Thomas, aged 16, was initially taken into custody and charged as an adult with Felony Murder, Attempted Armed Robbery, and Aggravated Assault.
Recently, on June 14, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department detained 18-year-old Janiya Moore from Athens, who has now been accused of Felony Murder and Tampering with Evidence in relation to the case.
The investigation into the tragic event continues as authorities work diligently to bring justice to the victim and his family.
