FORT LAUDERDALE – Authorities have made an arrest in connection with the tragic murder of a mother and her infant child in Deerfield Beach. The Broward Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about a shooting incident in the early hours of Thursday morning on Eastridge Drive.
Upon arriving at the scene, deputies discovered a man, later identified as 27-year-old Andre Lanns, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Lanns was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Subsequent investigations led to the discovery of the bodies of a woman and a baby inside a residence near the initial incident location.
The victims have been identified as Marrina Guadagnino and Andre Lanns III, both of whom had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. Following a thorough examination of the evidence gathered at the scene, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Lanns on charges of two counts of first-degree murder. The suspect is currently hospitalized in critical condition.
