A 27-year-old man from Deerfield Beach, Florida is currently facing charges after a tragic incident where he allegedly shot and killed a woman and a baby before turning the gun on himself. The incident took place in the early hours of Thursday morning in the 4000 block of Eastridge Drive.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, Carey Codd, deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue personnel rushed to the scene upon receiving reports of the shooting. They discovered the suspect, identified as Andre Lanns, lying in the street with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Lanns was immediately transported to a nearby hospital and is currently in critical condition.

Further investigation led deputies to a nearby home where they found the lifeless bodies of a woman named Marrina Guadagnino and an infant identified as Andre Lanns III. Both victims had suffered fatal gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have since obtained an arrest warrant for Lanns on two counts of first-degree murder. The motive behind the killings remains unclear, and despite sharing the same name, the relationship between Lanns and the victims has not been confirmed by officials.
